What is Tiramisu
In layman’s terms: Tiramisu is an index calculator which allows you to create a mock index, comprised of different coins, and simulate performance over an arbitrary date range. It handles various modelling tasks for you such as:
- Computing performance metrics
- Computing risk metrics
- Generating on-the-fly visualisations
- Allowing you to set various weights and sentiments

Get Started
To get started, simply use the search bar to find your favourite cryptocurrency coin from the coingecko API. Selecting the coin will automatically add it to the index. You can add as many coins as you want, deleting them with the red X icon

Removing Coins
When you’re ready, hit “submit”, and wait for the results. Advanced options have help available if you hover over the information icons, but as a general guide:
- Use the advanced editor if you have a saved JSON of the portfolio you want to quickly paste in. You can generate one using the “Save Index” button, then it will be cached in local storage next time you need it (this will persist between sessions, but will be overwritten if you save a new portfolio)
- In general, if setting weights automatically, you will want to set a maximum weight per asset. Note though, that the max % weights should still allow the assets to sum to 1 (so if you have 2 assets, don’t max the weights at 30%, for example)
- Sentiment score is moving to deprecation
- If you need copies of the backup data, there’s a checkbox that will save it to your clipboard on submission
